My journey began aboard a Jetstar Asia flight from Malaysia, the anticipation mounting with each passing minute. As soon as I touched down, Singapore didn't disappoint, with the Changi Airport standing as a testament to this city's awe-inspiring fusion of technology, nature, and art. Then there was the hotel – the iconic Marina Bay Sands, an architectural masterpiece that seems to defy gravity with its three cascading hotel towers crowned by the awe-inspiring SkyPark. Here, in this visionary marvel, I found myself swimming in the world's largest rooftop infinity pool, gazing down at the city's skyline from 57 levels above. Even as an architect, this unforgettable sight was a feast for my senses.
From the second I laid eyes on Marina Bay Sands, I knew I was witnessing an architectural marvel. This magnificent creation of Moshe Safdie Architects stretches to kiss the sky, its design inspired by card decks. Three cascading hotel towers, each 55 stories high, come together to support the SkyPark, an awe-inspiring 1.2-hectare structural masterpiece that bridges the towers 200 meters in the air.
